Williams, AZ Dec. 30, 2012

Our back seat traveling companions -- anxious for the next leg of the journey to begin.
So, this is what we encountered once we got to Williams, AZ -- oh goody!

We went out to eat at a place called Cruisers that was in an old gas station in town.  The town is on Route 66.

Tomorrow we take the train to the Grand Canyon and the pups go in doggie day care.

ABQ, NM Dec. 29, 2012

Okay, so today I posted a few pictures.

This is the city of ABQ as we are driving from the RV park.
Here is Mike outside of some of the shops in Old Town.
 More Shops

This is the San Felipe de Neri Church it is 306 years old.

This is pretty much what all the stores looked like in Old Town.  Lots of Indian stuff (dream catchers) and Mexican stuff.

Our little home away from home.

Albuquerque, NM December 28, 2012

Okay, this morning we got up to bitter cold in Liberal, KS and went southwest thru the Oklahoma panhandle, northern Texas and into New Mexico to Albuquerque (never payed much attention to how to spell that until now).  Kept hoping that the weather would get warmer -- but much to my dismay it is every bit as cold here as it was in Kansas.  We are staying at a a very nice place called American RV Park.  We decided to check out the Historic Old Town area for dinner.  We went to a restaurant in that area called the Church Street Cafe -- known for it's authentic "New Mexican" food.  It was very yummy and the margarita's weren't too bad either..  Most of the shops in the Old Towne area were closed for the night, so we are going to go back and check it out again tomorrow.  I took some pictures with my phone today....but something is wrong with my SD card and they didn't get saved !#@%#%$#^%$^%$!  So, needless to say I will be using my camera until I get that figured out.

December 27, 2012

Today was the first day of our adventure. We got all loaded up and took off. Rosie was a nervous wreck, thinking we were going to leave her behind (we have both of our labs, Charlie and Rosie with us). So, we journeyed to the freezing ass cold of Liberal, Kansas. The RV park is not too exciting, but on a good note the heat works in the camper!  Hopefully the weather and the adventure will improve as we travel on.
